I was wondering if there is (or could be) a way to “paste as attachment” when the clipboard contains a file (eg. copied from Finder, or put there by some other process). Right now this case pastes as a file path, and I don’t know of a way to attach the file instead. It looks like the Attachments API is read-only so it doesn’t seem possible to add a keyboard shortcut (eg. Shift+Cmd+V) from the outside.
