It would be really handy if the same fuzzy matching mechanism used in the projects sidebar worked in the “Tag with…” dropdown.
Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a way to do that with native menus. Longer term I would like to create a “power box” style UI (like Sublime Text and Atom have) for selecting tags, commands, general things from lists, etc. And since I would be building that UI from scratch I could support the fuzzy matching. But that’s a post 3.0 idea.
I see… I have thought about this “power box”/“command palette” too. It’s the kind of UI/UX thing that fits perfectly to the Taskpaper universe. It’s really good to know that this is on your radar for future updates.
