Someone just asked me whether Format > Clear Formatting is designed to set the type of a row to body.
My instinct was to feel that data-type values are structural properties – conceptually distinct from inline formats – but then I noticed that at a certain stage of Bike 1 development the release notes referred to extending Clear Formatting to row types (presumably setting them to body, effectively ?)
Bike 1.4 Preview (66) – Make Clear Formatting also clear typing attributes
Perhaps the location of row types under the Format menu also tends to suggest that Clear Formatting might set a vanilla row type ?
(it doesn’t seem to do that in 277, but that may be by design ?)
( a quick UI gesture seems to be backspace, with cursor at start of row )
FWIW I personally like being able to clear inline formats from a row without changing its row type …
e.g. in block quotes …
