I did a search and could not find any mention of this, but if it has been discussed previously, apologies.
Flags are currently placed at the end of a line of text. With a raged right margin, that means that one has to scan the whole page to pick out flags.
I am proposing that the option exist to move them to the left margin where they would be far more prominent.
What you say makes sense, but I don’t think I’m ready to add for 2.0 release.
The trouble is this flag feature is built from the public extension API. Currently that API rule is easy: add badge decorations to a row. Those decorations flow from last wrapped line of row.
I can eventually extend that API to allow different decoration locations, but that’s quite a bit of new surface area to get right. So for now flag positions can’t easily be moved.
I had a feeling that it would be a lot of work. Making that change to the API for a 2.x or even 3.0 release would be great.
