Just to confirm some behavior I didn’t expect: When I search in TaskPaper, it only finds strings in the expanded portion of the outline. Is that expected/desired?

It only finds strings in the focused part of the outline, but it should find strings in that focused branch no matter if they are collapsed or expanded. Are you sure you were not focused into a particular branch?
