I just got a request for a dark icon for TaskPaper.

I’m too busy with Bike at moment, but wanted to remind people that TaskPaper’s source code is available to registered users here:

If you fork and modify (small changes sets that I can review) I’d be happy to include “fitting” changes in TaskPaper main and make a new release.

  • Dark icon for sure! Here’s a link to TaskPaper’s current icon
  • Maybe PaperTrail style computed tags?

I think with modern LLM’s it should be pretty easy to modify TaskPaper in various positive ways.

I’m happy to create the new dark alt icon and file a PR, but I don’t have access to the file (I can only view it) and Figma want to charge me to get access.

So, there has to be another way to share this Figma file?

Do you have any figma account? I think I’m on a free plan that allows me to edit a few files anyway. Maybe that’s gone. Or maybe you are just limited to not being able to edit shared files? I only use figma once every couple years and completely forget how anything works in the in-between.

Anyway, here’s exported figma, maybe that makes it possible?:

I do have a Figma account, but yeah they charge for things like this.

Import has worked.

Here we go. I adjusted the exposure and contrast of the bg texture, and changed the colour of the drop shadow on the red things to pale grey/

Will try to get to the PR soon.
