I’ve been using WriteRoom again recently. Particularly, I’m using it with the terminal theme. I’ve been enjoying it a lot for long essays I write for a course I’m taking. I can’t do any formatting as I’m writing. That’s a thing for the editing phase. It helps me write with an ease I haven’t felt in a couple decades—probably when I originally used WriteRoom in the mid-2000s. I’m sure WriteRoom could do with some polishing, but the soul of WriteRoom is what matters.

WriteRoom still has more active users in the Mac App Store than my other apps combined. Someday I’ll update it, but seems it still serves its purpose OK.
