nit-picky, say you have a task list that is indented, you are finished with the last item, hit enter. the next line is pre-appended with “-”.
hitting return immediatly after backspaces to delete the “-”.
it would be nice, if you hit return again it would move back a tab.

I understand that wish… but that also breaks the case where you just want to create an empty line at the current indentation level. You can do Option-Return to create a new line without any indention relative to the current editor view.
