Moving multiple items, selecting items

I don’t know if I’m missing something, or if this is not currently possible:

Is there a way to select/group more than one outline item at a time?

And is there a way to select an item with child-items and when indenting it automatically move/indent the child items too? I just moved a parent item and suddenly it was at the same level with the child items, and I manually had to indent each child item, which seems like something that shouldn’t happen. In other outliners you can select a parent item and it may highlight the group of items and let you drag or used a keyboard command to move the item and sub-items.

In Bike 1 it should act pretty much like a standard text editor. To select multiple items just extend the selection up/down, or click and drag with mouse. For example:

  • Repeat Shift-DownArrow multiple times to select multiple items

In Bike 1 the default goal is to act like a text editor… child rows do not move with parent rows. To make it work more like an outliner use Escape key to enter outline mode:

In Bike 2 I’m changing things to work more like a standard outliner and less like a standard text editor.

Thanks. I assumed that this outliner worked like other outliners I’ve used before, and did not realize there was a separate outline mode. I have some reading to do.
