One of the delights of both WriteRoom 4 and Bike 2 is that peformance is very snappy,
even with large documents.
If one were looking for a minimum piece of hardware to carry around and run them both on,
with not much else installed, are there any bottlenecks (minimum RAM size for example) that might noticeably constrain performance ?
Interesting question… unfortunately I don’t really know, but I expect they should both perform well on min system requirements.
WriteRoom doesn’t ship intel version, and I develop on M1 Pro from 2021 and performance is good. I haven’t tried a base M1, but I expect performance should be pretty good there too.
Bike I expect similar. Again I haven’t tested on anything older then M1 Pro (or newer darn it!). But I had editors that used a similar render design back in 2016-2017 that performed pretty well.
So that’s my non-answer answer.
