Hi I am posting this here, since other people may have the same question. I have the Mac Store version of the app and it is up for renewal in a month. I have missed out on not having full functionality in the Bike 2 beta and was considering moving to direct because of that.
When Bike 2 is released will Mac Store users get that version as an auto-upgrade? or will it be a separate product in the App Store keeping a legacy V1 as well?
Also, will there be differences in functionality between the App Store version and a direct download? I am thinking of some other apps where only the direct download version has a CLI tool.
Thanks in advance. I will be sticking with Bike in one version or another.

Yes, existing subscriptions will work for the new version on the Mac App Store (and direct download).

Not intentionally, but if App Store review rejects a feature then yes. I think the CLI is OK, other app in the store have it. And generally I haven’t had review problems. With that said I’ve heard lots of stories, so can’t promise there won’t be differences if App Store review rejects some things.
