I would like to create links to other items in my TaskPaper files. Is this possibile? I can’t find it in the manual, nor in these help answers.

No, nothing is built in. It is something that I’d like to work on eventually, but it’s a tricky problem with plain text files… there’s no place to store a unique id for each entry.
The closest built in option right now is to create saved searches in the sidebar.
Don’t [[Wikilinks]] essentially work as inline saved searches? So that if this was implemented it just acts as a hot-link to that ‘unique term’.
This of course goes back to Notational Velocity, NVAlt, the recent The Archive and 1Writer (iOS).
