License Code not working on second device

I recently attempted to install TaskPaper on my MacBook, using the license key I received via email after purchase (26-07-25) directly through Hog Bay. TaskPaper is currently only installed and activated on my Mac mini, it’s working well there. So this would be my second activation — well within the limit of three allowed activations as stated in your license agreement.

However, when I enter the license code (copied and pasted directly from your original email), I receive an error message stating that the code is invalid. I’ve tried multiple times to ensure there are no typos or formatting issues, but the result is always the same.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? I would appreciate your help in getting TaskPaper up and running on my second device.

Yes, I looked and your license key still has available activations.

My license system is provided by Paddle, a third party payment/license processor, so I don’t have a good insight into the internals of what might have gone wrong. I would:

  1. Just try again in a little bit, maybe there were server problems (server/network is not required once you have activated, but is required for activation)
  2. Make sure that your device is on normal network without firewalls, etc

If that still doesn’t work can you send me a screenshot of before you press activation button, and then of the dialogue after you try to activate. Maybe I can spot some issue.
