Pressing ↓ while in block mode opens the popover to let you switch the type of node.
Should Bike also support ↑? I’ve found myself trying to do that a few times, but it doesn’t work.

“Block Mode” is generally the term that I use for when selection’s minimal region is a full outline row. (for example if you have a text caret, then hit ESCAPE to enter block mode) And up/down arrows in block mode should move the selection by one row, they shouldn’t be changing row type.
