How to automatically archive done tasks

Is it possible to have @done items automatically moved to the archive without having to select the menu option or use the hot key? They clutter up the list and distract me.

If anything a customizable hot key would work as I use the default shortcut elsewhere and it is unavailable in TaskPaper.


You can customize the shortcut key used for any menu item on OS X. See:

Another options… if you don’t need to save the items you can instead just delete them off your list when they are done. i.e. Control-Shift-K to delete the current item. I do that far more often then archive done for my own workflow.

Thank you for the tip on customizing the shortcut. That will work for me as I prefer to keep a running archive of work tasks.
