Why do I see a JavaScript debug window after launching TaskPaper?

If you have the direct download (downloaded from www.taskpaper.com) version of TaskPaper then you have the option to show a JavaScript debug window that you can use to debug TaskPaper scripts. More information on TaskPaper scripting can be found here.

It might be that you accidentally enable this debug window.

To turn off the JavaScript debugger window:

  1. Open Safari\

  2. Ensure Safari’s “Develop” menu is showing:

  • Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Show Develop menu in menu bar
  1. Uncheck both:
  • Safari > Develop > Computer Name > Automatically Show Web Inspector for JSContexts
  • Safari > Develop > Computer Name > Automatically Pause Connecting JSContexts
