Handling dates in CSS?

I would like to be able to add dates to items but have the dates greyed out. But as far as I know, there’s no way to get the stylesheet to interpret dates as a specific kind of object–or is there? If it makes any difference, the date format I use is YYYY-MM-DD, and I generally insert them using a text expander, not the “insert date” command.

Hey @menatarp, as far as I know there is no way to accomplish what you want. You may be able to accomplish what you wants since use a stylesheet for a specific tag (and I think its content too).

@menatarp There isn’t anyway to do general syntax highlighting in TaskPaper, so no you can’t style dates as you want. You can style based on tags and tag values. Here’s one script system that does that with dates:
