I’m evaluating TaskPaper. One issue I’ve run into is its use of extended file attributes for recording the expansion state of items. When I sync a TaskPaper file using Dropbox, this data is lost. That’s probably OK, but I’m wondering what other data is recorded using extended attributes that might be an issue if lost? Thanks.
Right now extended attributes are used to remember hoisted item, focused item, item path filter, and collapsed items. All UI state, not document content. I don’t expect that I will ever save document content in those attributes.
