hi! how can i force writeroom to open documents in a new tab? is there a way? thanks

Hi, I think if you do Option-Command-N you will create a new document in a tab of an existing window, instead of in a new window.

Ah, I’m not sure if that’s possible directly, but you can open the document and then choose menu:

Window > Merge All Windows

WriteRoom doesn’t have any customized support for tabs… this behavior is all macOS provided. So there may be options available that I don’t know about too.
