Not sure how feasible this is, but I’d love it if indents somehow ensured alignment for monospace fonts. As it is, they seem to shift things in a way that throws monospace fonts for parent/child items out of alignment.

Yep! In the below screenshot, the T in the child item sits somewhere in between the K and S in the parent item, despite this being a monospace font. I would love for the T in the child item to be aligned with either the K or the S in the parent item to maintain proper alignment throughout the document.
Ah, I see now, looking at code and seeing how hard it would be.
