I noticed the demo on your website is very similar to what is achievable with Emacs and Org-Mode. Is any part of the code base in TestPaper that is being sold belong to or is a derivative of Emacs or Org-Mode? If so, are you planning on publishing the source code for this software?
No it’s completely separate. I have certainly looked at org-mode manual at times for inspiration (in addition to pretty much every other organization app). In particular when trying to design relative date formats I remember digging into org mode. But genesis of TaskPaper idea in 2006 was without knowledge of org mode and it’s evolved without much direct org-mode influence. I can’t even open/save in emacs.
